A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a series of burglaries that predominantly took place throughout Long Beach between late October and early November.

Police say Long Beach resident Raymond Edward Billingsly is responsible for at least five commercial burglaries and one vehicle burglary in the city.

The crimes started on Oct. 26, according to Long Beach police. On that day, Billingsly allegedly burglarized one business in the Franklin neighborhood and another in Stearns Park, police said.

Two days later, Billingsly allegedly burglarized a business in Cal Heights, according to police. On Nov. 1, he allegedly burglarized a business in the Hellman neighborhood, police said. The next day, he allegedly burglarized a business and a vehicle in Central Long Beach, police added.

In each of the incidents, Billingsley allegedly "shattered a glass window of the business or a vehicle and stole miscellaneous items," the LBPD said in a statement Wednesday.

On Nov. 3, the day after Billingsly's two alleged burglaries in Central Long Beach, LBPD officers saw him in the area of Anaheim Street and Dawson Avenue around 10 a.m., police said. Officers recognized Billingsley from security footage, police added.

The officers then safely arrested him, according to the LBPD.

Billingsly was booked for burglary, possession of burglary tools and a probation violation, police said.

He is currently being held without bail for the probation violation, according to authorities.

The LBPD will present the cases to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for felony filing consideration, police said.
