Man arrested after stabbing another man during argument, police say
Darien Barrett, 31, allegedly stabbed a man during an argument in the East Village Sunday night, according to authorities.
Police arrested a man for stabbing another man during an argument, according to Long Beach police.
Darien Barrett, 31, of Long Beach was arguing with another man in the 600 block of East Broadway around 7 p.m. Sunday, police said. The argument escalated when Barrett allegedly stabbed the man, police added.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for multiple stab wounds, according to authorities. His wounds were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Officers arrested Barrett, who was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threat, according to the LBPD. His bail was set at $50,000, police added.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
