Police arrested a man they said pulled a gun during an argument Sunday night, prompting a SWAT response.

The suspect was arguing with another person when he pulled a gun around 6:55 p.m. in the 4900 block of Locust Avenue, police said.

The suspect subsequently fled to a nearby residence, according to authorities. Police located the suspect and established a perimeter around the home, but he refused to surrender, police said.

Negotiators and SWAT resources also responded to the scene to assist, according to the LBPD.

After about 90 minutes of negotiations with the suspect, he surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody, police said.

The LBPD said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
