The man, who was not identified by Long Beach police, injured himself after he "accidentally discharged" a gun in the 200 block of Rafael Walk around 10:34 p.m. Thursday, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The man took himself to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body, according to authorities.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to the LBPD.
