Here's what will be closed on Labor Day in Long Beach
Street sweeping is among the city services that will not be operating during the Sept. 2 holiday.
With Labor Day weekend approaching, the city of Long Beach announced Monday what city services will be open and closed and open during the Sept. 2 holiday.
All city parks and trails except the El Dorado Nature center will be open as will all fire stations, the main police station in Downtown and city utility dispatch services. However, city libraries, city hall, the cityβs health department and a host of other services will be closed Monday.
Street sweeping and street sweeping enforcement will not happen on Monday but it will resume regular schedule Tuesday. Sept. 3, according to the city. Parking enforcement will operate as usual on Labor Day unless a parking space specifies that it is βExempt on Holidays.β
All city libraries will be closed the entire holiday weekend and will resume regular service on Tuesday. The cityβs towing operations, city operated pools, building inspections and mobile access centers will also be closed on Monday.
