Fire crews extinguish 2-alarm blaze in North Long Beach; 9 displaced, officials say

Nine people were displaced Thursday morning after a fire erupted at a home in North Long Beach, causing extensive damage.

The flames spread through the home and a detached garage as fire crews worked to prevent it from spreading, they added.
Nobody was injured in the blaze, but nine people, including seven minors, were displaced, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
It’s not yet clear what started the fire, but investigators have responded to the scene, the LBFD said in a post on X.
