Driver dies after crashing into utility pole near El Dorado Park, police say
Police say the woman was speeding eastbound on Spring Street, near Studebaker Road, in a 2024 BMW 440i when she lost control of the car and crashed into a utility pole shortly before 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
A woman is dead after losing control of a car and crashing into a utility pole Wednesday night near El Dorado Park, police said.
Long Beach Police say the woman was speeding eastbound on Spring Street, near Studebaker Road, in a 2024 BMW 440i when she lost control of the car and crashed into a utility pole shortly before 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officers responding to the scene found the woman still inside the wrecked vehicle, according to authorities.
Long Beach Fire Department took her out of the wreckage and rendered aid to her, police said. But she died at the scene, they added.
Her identity was not immediately revealed as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office works to notify her family.
