Assault suspect arrested in East Village, police say
A man assaulted another man during an argument in the 10 block of Lime Avenue around 4 a.m., according to authorities.
Police arrested a man in East Village following an argument that turned violent early Wednesday morning.
Long Beach police say officers responded to the 10 block of Lime Avenue around 3:57 a.m. following reports of a person screaming. There, they found a man who allegedly assaulted another man with a bladed weapon during an argument, according to a police spokesperson.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening laceration to his upper body, according to authorities.
Officers took the suspect into custody, police said.
The investigation into the assault is ongoing, police added.
