A woman and two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of robbing minors of their necklaces during at least four incidents in Long Beach in May, police said.
Long Beach Police say Marissa Maxie, 21, of Carson, and two 17-year-old boys were in a car in the area of Harco Street and Los Coyotes Diagonal on May 17 when they snatched a minor’s necklace before driving off.
They then snatched another three minor’s necklaces on May 30 in East Long Beach, police said.
Detectives were able to identify the suspects after receiving a tip from a community member, police said.
Maxie was taken into custody in August on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy, according to the LBPD.
The two teenage boys were taken into custody on suspicion of robbery, according to authorities. Their identities were not released because of their age.
Robbery detectives have presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration, according to the LBPD.
