2 wounded in shooting near Gumbiner Park, LBPD says
Police say a man and woman were standing on a sidewalk in the area Alamitos Avenue and Sixth Street around 6:15 p.m. when someone shot them.
Police say theyβre investigating a shooting near Gumbiner Park that left a man and woman wounded Saturday afternoon.
The man and woman, according to police, were standing near the intersection of Alamitos Avenue and Sixth Street around 6:15 p.m. when another man fired a gun at them. The gunman then ran away from the scene, the Long Beach Police Department said.
Officers responded to the scene of the shooting and found the man and woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both of them were taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police, who said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. No other injuries were reported, authorities said.
