Two men were hospitalized Monday night after an argument turned violent in Willmore, police said.

The men were arguing in the 1100 block of Cedar Avenue around 9:56 p.m. when the altercation escalated and the men "shot and stabbed one another," according to a statement from the Long Beach Police Department.

The man who was shot once in the lower body made his way to the 300 block of Anaheim Street, where officers found him, police said. LBPD officers later located the second man, who had been stabbed once in the upper body.

Long Beach Fire personnel took both men to a local hospital, according to authorities. Neither of their wounds were considered life-threatening, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the LBPD.
