Two men were injured in separate stabbings Monday, according to police.

Long Beach police say the first incident occurred when an unknown suspect approached a man sitting in his vehicle in the 6000 block of Long Beach Boulevard around 5:43 p.m. and stabbed him.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers, police said.

The second incident happened when a neighbor dispute in the 800 block of Cerritos Avenue around 9:08 p.m. ended with one man stabbing the other, according to police.

LBFD personnel took the victim to a local hospital, authorities said. His condition is not known.

Officers were unable to locate the suspect in that stabbing, police said.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing, according to the LBPD.
