2 men injured in separate shootings, police say
The first was in the Hellman neighborhood and the second was in North Long Beach, according to the LBPD.

Police are investigating a shooting in Long Beach’s Hellman neighborhood that left a man injured Tuesday night, authorities said.
Long Beach police say two men were arguing near 10th Street and Cerritos Avenue around 10:00 p.m. The argument escalated when one man shot the other, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man, who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, to a local hospital, according to authorities.
The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival, police said.
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation, police added.
The second shooting took place around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning near 68th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, according to police.
LBPD officers and Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies found the shooting victim a few blocks away, near Artesia Boulevard and the 710 Freeway, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, police said.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the man to a local hospital for his injuries, according to authorities.
Officers were unable to locate a crime scene, police said.
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation, according to the LBPD.
