2 men die in wrong-way crash near CSULB, police say
The driver of a Honda Civic traveling on Seventh Street near Terraine Avenue Wednesday morning apparently lost control and veered into oncoming traffic.

Two men died Wednesday morning when a driver lost control of his car on Seventh Street and veered into oncoming traffic, hitting another car head-on, police said.
The driver of a Honda Civic may have been speeding westbound on Seventh Street near Terraine Avenue around 6:20 a.m. when they slammed into a Honda Accord, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel determined both drivers died at the scene, according to authorities. No other vehicles were involved in the collision and no other injuries were reported.
The driver of the Honda Accord was identified as Salvador Medina, a 37-year-old resident of Long Beach, according to the LBPD. The identity of the driver of the Honda Civic will be determined by the Los Angeles County Office of the Medical Examiner, police added.
At this time, speed appears to have been a contributing factor in this collision, according to police.
