Police say they’re investigating a shooting near Junipero Beach that left two men injured Saturday night.

It’s unclear who shot them or why, but the two men were in the Junipero Lot sometime before 9:50 p.m. when they were struck by gunfire, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

One of the men, who had been struck in the lower body, took himself to a local hospital, police said, adding that he is stable condition.

The other man, who’d be in struck in the upper body, left the lot and later flagged down officers in the area of Alamitos Avenue and Fifth Avenue, police said.

Officers aided the man until Long Beach Fire personnel arrived and took over, police said. LBFD personnel then took the man to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

He is also in stable condition, they added.
