1 dead in West Long Beach shooting, police say
Authorities identified the victim as Jesse Stiles, 43, of Long Beach.

Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in West Long Beach Saturday, according to police.
Long Beach police said officers responded to a call in the area of 17th Street and Santa Fe Avenue around 11:31 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Officers rendered aid to the man until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and took the man to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to authorities.
Police identified the victim as Jesse Stiles, 43, of Long Beach.
Homicide detectives are working to identify possible suspects as well as the motive and circumstances leading up to the shooting, police said.
